Sheffield Park Revitalization Committee - Wednesday, August 13, 2008
We walked away from the Cleveland WE Play! armed with all the tools we need to get started on a fabulous community-build playground - thanks KaBOOM!  The Board will be meeting soon and deciding on the next step to take.  We're looking forward to seeing what type of playspace will best meet the needs of all our residents.  
Funding and planning - Friday, August 01, 2008
Now we start looking at funding and planning.  We're attending the upcoming WE Play conference in Cleveland on the 7th, and looking forward to learning a lot!  And we're petitioning the City of Auburn Hills for financial help.

We're also looking to obtain an unused play structure to temporarily replace what we removed.  This way the kids will still have something to use while we design and fundraise.
 
Square One - Friday, July 18, 2008
The forty-year-old equipment has been removed from Sheffield Park, and now the planning begins.  The BOCA Board has been tossing around ideas, but would love to hear from residents as to the kind of park they want.  Research into funding and grants is in the preliminary stage.
