Welcome to Save Imagination Station
Seventeen years ago, a playground, Imagination Station, was born between the Kent Primary and Kent Elementary Schools on land donated by the school district. The typical life expectancy of wooden playgrounds is 15-20 years. Imagination Station has fallen into disrepair and is in jeopardy of being lost. Certain parts of the structure have already been removed due to safety concerns.
A new community effort is joining together to create a new and improved playground, not only for the children of the Kent Schools but for the community at large. The improved playground will be constructed with composite materials for a longer life expectancy and lower maintenance- no more splinters. Our committee, Imagination Station Inc., is a tax-free organization whose goal is to raise funds for the improved playground construction. The goal of this playground rebuild project is to ensure that the youth in our community have access to stimulating and safe outdoor recreational space. The playground will be accessible for children of all ages and abilities.
