At KaBOOM!, our standard timeline is around 2 months. Your timeline will depend on how quickly you're able to complete the fundraising. It's important to set goal dates that you want to complete each phase by so that your group is pushed to stay on track. Once your funding is secure, the rest of the process can easily happen within a few months, especially if you follow the Mile Markers on your project page.

I think if you have dedicated volunteers and if you take one project at a time and ask potential donors to sponsor that project. You might be able to ge the project done faster. But it depends on how dedicated one is to the project. I like to find funders who are willing to out do the other. Maybe make it a competetion thing? I don't know? I will keep your advise in mind.

Are community gardens hard to take care of, and what are some easy items to plant?

On this past week ground crew from the city help remove some of the old concrete left from the old mill on the property. Some of the colorful brick and concrete might be used for later to add as a decrative borders or pieces within the park.

Looking at playground equiptment from Grounds for play and rainbow sytems. Want to structure a moral as well as a small community flower garden. Yes a small community garden would be a good starting point.

We met with Monk Custom Homes to construct a outline and sketch of the entire park with playground equipment and shade structure. The builder's name is Michael Monk along with his collegue Ron Zahrt and they feel that the sketch will be completed within two weeks, and will then be presented to the City Council of Winnsboro, Texas.

On March 2, 2010 I met with some of the Volunteers from the City of Winnsboro and they removed the old worn out swing set and jungle gym for me so that we could get ready to start the process of having the potential wall mural put in place. It takes a lot and with the donations small coming in we have to take one project at a time.

Later in the week the old concret from the old cotten mill was removed. We had to use a backhoe for this job. The concrete was scattered around the park in different places. Some of it was pretty deep.
