I took the road map webiinar and participated in live discussion with one of your employees on June 3. We are excited, but have limited time to complete our project. We are working with College Park BIDA to get the final lease on the land and are super excited about working with the KaBoom system to make this the best playground in the TriCites area.

Thank you for your support of TMSA and KaBoom. To support our playground please donate at tricitiescharter.com on the support TMSA page. We love KaBoom, but the KaBoom site donation button goes to the many wonderful playgrounds around the nation and not our playground specifically.

Greetings Parents and Supporters!
As summer vacations begin, it is hard to imagine the new school year will be here before we know it. The TMSA board and Principal Raine Hackler are working daily to make our community's school a reality, and ready to open the doors on August 23rd.
Over the past year, many of you have attended our monthly Oz and Chick-fil-A fundraisers, bought wrapping paper and entertainment books, and participated in the consignment sale and our first annual 10k/5k. All of these have been successful and well supported events, and we thank you for your support! The proceeds from these events have funded open community meeting expenses, advertising and hiring expenses for our top notch staff.
Now, we need everyone's help and support to construct 2 playgrounds for both initial school sites. TMSA will need to purchase and install playground equipment at both sites, and both playgrounds will need to be fenced for safety. Below is the rendering by an architect of the 2nd grade - 6th grade location. We have also included a rendering of what the playground equipment will look like. The setup will be slightly less expensive for the K - 1st grade site.
The estimated cost of this project is itemized below.
Playground equipment K - 1st Grade $8,000
Fence and lot preparation $4,000
Playground equipment 2nd - 6th Grade $18,000
Fence and lot preparation (grading) $20,000
The K - 1st grade playground will provide swings, monkey bars and a slide. The 2nd - 6th grade (growing to 8th grade) play space will include an urban garden, swings, slide, monkey bars and a basketball hoop area.
Fulton County does not provide funding specifically for this need. We firmly believe that outdoor exercise is vital to providing a well rounded education to our children.
The purpose of this communication is to ask all of our supporters and parents to make a donation to TMSA, Incorporated for the specific purpose of building two playgrounds. Our goal is to raise $50,000 by July 1, 2010 so that this equipment can be ordered in time for opening day August 23rd. At roughly 1,000 subscribers, this would equate to a $50 tax deductible donation per person. While we know everyone is not in a financial position to make a donation, we hope those who can donate will send what they can afford. You will make a difference! In order to help with this goal, the board voted unanimously to put in $10,000 from our TMSA nest egg that we have worked to raise over the last year.
Donations can be made via PayPal on the support page of our website.
Or, if you prefer to write a check, please send to:

We need every one of you to make a difference, step by step, to help transform our community.
Thank you for your consideration and for your continued support of TMSA!

We are well on our way. Community members have provided a site plan and we have volunteers for site clearing and building at both sites. We will need your financial support, time and talents to complete this project before the first day of school!
