Hi everyone!
My name is Leah and I've been working with Choyce to help get this playground funded through KaBOOM! and the Knight Foundation.
I work with a lot of different folks all over the country, but I have been both moved and impressed by the work of Jude MBC since I first spoke to Choyce several months ago.
Raising $7500 is a big hurdle - not to mention permitting costs and other costs that are sure to arise with a build. I wanted to let folks know that you have some friends in Northern California who will be supporting your fundraising efforts! I'm originally from the San Francisco area, and I've spread the word about your project to as many people as I can and have asked them mail their contributions for your playground to me in Washington, DC. As soon as I receive donations, I'll mail them straight on to Choyce.
I'll be sure to keep everyone posted. Please let me know if there is any other way I can help!

For the past three years the men in our church have cut the grass of the city own playground so that the children in the community would be safer (grass sometimes would reach waist high). After our continuing request for safe equipment the city to us that the playground was closed (Not to be reopened). We had purchase three lots behind our day care center in hopes of one day being able to build a playground. Therefore when we heard about this oppertuinty with Kaboom we thought we felt it a God send for this dream project.
