This effort will bring to life a playspace for 40-plus children who live and visit Colonial Park (4421 E. Washington Street). On May 31, several of the children drew on paper their perfect, imaginary playground. From their ideas comes the design, which will have a racing theme.

The build is funded through a $47,200 grant from The Home Depot along with a $10,000 investment from Partners In Housing. This project is part of The Home Depot and KaBOOM!’s effort to create and refurbish 1,000 playspaces in 1,000 days.

On Thursday, July 26, the Build Day will begin at 7:30 am and conclude with a ribbon-cutting about 2:30 pm. All skill levels are welcome and refreshments (and fun) are provided.
