The Bruce McCandless Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home is in the process of creating an outdoor, multigenerational recreation area with the help of our community and area service organizations. We are so excited to announce that we recently received a $3,000 grant from KaBOOM! and The Home Depot toward playground equipment, and another grant for about $9,800 from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs for safety surfacing! But, we have a lot yet to accomplish, so please visit this site often to learn about the many ways you can get involved and watch the project progress.
Watch the "Events" page for some very exciting fundraisers and activities coming up in the next few weeks. They will be fun, rewarding and give you a chance to have a "lasting" part in the recreation area.
