LETA Build Day

MISSION COMPLETED!!!
Lincoln Elementary Technology Academy
feels privileged to work with such fine volunteers who took time out of
their busy schedules to participate in our Build Day on a Wednesday. We
are so appreciative of partner KaBOOM!, our funding partner
Build-A-Bear Workshop and everyone who made the LETA Playground Project
possible. The students at LETA were thrilled to make their own bears
thanks to Build-A-Bear Workshop! They were fascinated by the creation
of the playground, taking a glance as they made their bears and helped
with side-projects and children activities. The impact on the children
will be phenomenal. LETA students finally get to play on their very own
custom playground during recess. Everyone did such an awesome job and
we had a terrific turn out. Thank you for making our dream of building
a safe place for our children to play come true. The heart ceremony was
touching and we will always remember all the hearts and hard work that
went into our Build Day at Lincoln. You have not only touched Lincoln but you have touched our surrounding community. So,
what did the children think of the new playground? I got a lot of its "
cool, awesome, good, great and nice." Second grader Keyon thought
the playground was fantastic! One second grade student said, "I like
climbing the wall, it was soooo much fun." Another students
exclaimed, "I love going down the twirly slide and going
woooooooo!" A first grader at LETA said, "My favorite part of the
playground is the money bars because I like hanging upside down."
There you have it from the critics, they absolutely loved their new
playground and could not be happier that you made it happen. On
Friday, June 29, LETA children patiently waited to run out onto their
playground for the first time. It was such an incredible sight to see
their smiling faces laughing and watching them have such a marvelous
time. My heart filled with such happiness and I could not stop smiling
and thinking about each of you who helped create this pawsome playspace
for our students. We are all so appreciative that you helped make our
dreams of building a playground for our children into a reality. http://www.kaboom.org/FunStuff/PhotoGalleries/PhotoGallery10/tabid/429/AlbumID/1502-806/Default.aspx Visit KaBOOM! to learn more about our playground build!
