Thank You!!
We want to thank many of our local businesses for thier food donations: Chic-Fil-A (on Oleander Ave.), Dunkin Donuts, Jimbos Restaurant, Toscana's Restaurant, Walmart, Cosmos Pizza, Indian Spring donated water, Costco, and Harris Teeter. Thank you so much! Stop in these places and thank them for donating to the HOPE playground project.
We would also like to thank the New Hanover County Sheriff's office and Sheriff Sid Causey. They have donated $500 and some of the deputies have donated thier time to help in the build.
Thank you Wilmington Bobcat! They have graciously donated a bobcat and many tools for the build as well.
Thank you Reed Jewelers for the lovely necklace they donated for our raffle.
Thank you Duron Paint for donating paint for our craft projects.

"Prep Day"
We will also need some volunteers a couple days prior to the April 26th build day. This is the "prep day." This when we will dig holes, pre assemble, as well as some other jobs. This day is very important. This will help make build day go easier and faster. The prep days are the 24th and 25th. This day we will need about 20 people. We would also like these people will also be build captains on build day. Since they will have an idea of how things are put and are going to be put together they will have knowledge that will be useful on build day.

Cookie dough Sale
Our cookie dough sale was a big success. We raised about $3,000. Thanks to all of you who helped us in trying to reach our goal of $7,500. This will go a long way.

Design Day - Wednesday, February 13, 2008
Design day was a great success! The kids had a blast drawing their dream playground. Some of their pictures can be seen in the photo gallery. We got to meet Mike and Molly Dupree and thank them in person for their generosity in funding our project. Also, many of our wonderful parents were proactive and took an interest in the project as well. All in all it was a great day.
