Welcome to the Fairway Green Playground and Park Project!
Dear Neighbors and Friends,
Welcome to our home page! We're so glad you dropped by! We have made great progress since last year! We have fund raise over $5000.00 towards our $10,000.00 fund-raising goal! Yeah!
What Happens On Preparation Days or "Prep Days"?
On Prep Days, we:
1. Remove all playground equipment from its cartons and store is in a storage unit.
2. Holes are dug using post hole diggers on the playspace surface that will support the playground equipment when installed.
3. Cartons are cut and placed in recycling bins. All other non-recyclable materials are stored in a dumpster.
4. The mulch is removed from the playspace area. A flat, dirt surface is needed for the playground building surface.
5. We will collect and store all tools needed to build our playground.
6. All other preparation needed is completed.
What Happens On Playground Build Day?
All of the preparation has been complete.
1. We all wake up early in the morning.
2. We report to the playground site on Wilkins Station Drive for breakfast.
3. We crank up the music up!
4. And, PLAYGROUND BUILD DAY BEGINS! YEAH!
5. Oh, yes, we have lunch, snacks, plenty to drink, and portable potties!
What Happens On Playground Design Day?:
1. Our children come together to design the playground. How cool is this? After all, children are playground experts!
2. Our children will submit their designs for the playground.
3. Our children get to choose from PlayWorld Systems playground equipment to help design their playground.
