Welcome
Welcome to the Englewood School Park
 
Englewood School is located in Lawrence County and serves handicap students from seven school districts.  Unfortunately, Englewood School does not have a handicap-accessible playground as you can see in the picture above.  This is why we are on the journey of building a new park that the children can enjoy despite their disability.  

We started raising funds about nine months ago and are proud to say we are 65% closer to having enough money to build this park.  Our shelter house is complete, so next will be concrete, the playground equipment and then safety surfacing. 
 
The Build Day for the playground is scheduled for July 29, 2006 (Keep you fingers crossed!) and this is a community build project, which means that we need YOU!

Our Project News
Project News - Construction is underway!!!!!!!
The diggin has begun and we are a few steps closer to having this park up and running! 
 
Wednesday evening a group of about eight gathered to get the post set for the shelter house.  The group as well as others plan to get together again Sat. morning to finish the shelter house.  We still need volunteers for Saturday, so if you have a few spare hours please call us and let us know you will be there.
