Eastside YMCA's Playground

Build-A-Bear Workshop and organizers from KaBOOM! hosted a Design Day for children at the Eastside YMCA in Ft. Worth, Texas, on June 13.  Children from the Eastside YMCA put crayon to paper and drew their dream playgrounds, which will ultimately become a reality.  Elements from the children's drawings will be incorporated into the final design for the new community playground to be built on August 22.  Design Day was also the first meeting of the playground planning committee that will work for the next ten weeks to plan and prepare for the construction of the new playground. 

 

Build-A-Bear Workshop is funding the project as part of their 10th Birthday celebration.  In all, they will build ten playgrounds in ten cities across North America.
