Central School - Simsbury Minimize

 About Us Minimize
Project Overview

Central School's playground is a focal point for Simsbury. In addition to the 435 students at Central Elementary school, our playground is enjoyed by the Little League and the Parks and Recreation department who use Central School as a location for it's summer daycare program.

The existing playground area is over 30 years old with many pieces in disrepair, and most components no longer meeting the current playground safety codes.

A committe of central school parents was formed to facilitate the rejunivation of the existing play ground area.  The goal is to complete the rejunevation of the playground in conjunction with the gran opening of the refurbished sofball field in September 2007.

Our Mission

The Central School Playground Committee’s goal is to upgrade and rejuvenate the Central School playground, keeping the newest pieces of our current playground equipment and replacing the oldest worn out equipment.

Proposed Site

This project entails the rejuvenation of the existing Central School Playground area.  The area located is the far back adjacent to the ball field will have all existing old equipment removed.  Due to the proximity of the ball field, no new play ground equipment will be added to that area.
