Dallas Housing Authority employees and volunteers from the community along with Kaboom! and The Home Depot will build a playground in just one day at its Cedar Springs Place development. Build Day is scheduled for April 12, 2007.
Our Mission:
DHA is the largest owner of affordable housing in Dallas with more than 5400 units and tthe largest housing authority in Texas. DHA has extensive experience in development, renovation and management of residential rental property. Dallas Housing Authority provides quality, affordable housing to low-income families and individuals through the effective and efficient administration of housing assistance programs; and by creating and cultivating opportunities for program participants to achieve self-sufficiency and economic independence.
Proposed Site:
Dallas Housing Authority owns and manages the Cedar Springs Place development, which was originally built in 1937. In 1995, DHA updated the amenities at Cedar Springs Place and gave it a more modern visual appearance. Cedar Springs Place is a multi-family property with 398 units located near downtown dallas and is home to more than 800 adults and children.
