Welcome to our home page! We are very excited about this project and hope you can join us.

Candlelight Oaks Civic Club is a 40 year-old residential community located in northwest Houston, TX. Our former playground was about that old as well (see pics below). Due to the recent influx of families over the past 8 years or so, many residents had expressed interest in revamping the new playground but we did not have the financial means to do so. So we applied for funding for a new playground, with the support of KaBOOM!, and now we are very fortunate to have been chosen by Kool-Aid for funding for a new playground!

Our location will be the first of four consecutive builds planned in Houston. Our build date is July 9, 2008, so we really have our work cut out for us. This will be a day of food, fun, and laughter. Our biggest challenge will be seeking the 200+ volunteers required for the build. However, we are very optimistic that we will be able to accomplish this goal with your help.
