Project Overview
This project started 2 years ago with student requests for a track. This was looked upon by the school teaching staff and the Bethany Charter School Board as a good way to enhance and expand the PE curriculum and as a way to increase community use of the school facilities.
Our Mission:
Bethany Charter School is a K-8 public school chartered by the Silver Falls School District in Silverton, Oregon. Our curriculum focuses on natural science and technology enriched with art, music and PE in a small school atmosphere. We romote academic excellence, fostering respect and a love for learning with strong family and comunity support.
Proposed Site
The track will be installed in the lower part of the school athletic field.
On October 31, 2007, our school track was paved. The students enjoyed watching the crew work during the day and were able to use the track in the afternoon before school was over for the day.
