The kids voted...The board approved...The school has been painted BRIGHT RED!It all began when two students from each grade were selected to be part of a leadership committee. The leaders ran a vote, and the student body overwhelmingly selected bright red as our new sch

ool color! The school board unamimously approved the selection, and the students embarked on a letter-witing campaign to the community to solicit donations.
Over 65 colorful letters announcing, "Buy a gallon for $25" were written and the students averaged about one gallon raised, for every letter written. The grants committee picked up the slack over the summer and topped the 100 gallon mark, right before school started!

A group of 20 crazies assembled on September 8th. Kerry Olson, Hogie Patenaude, Dean Magarian, all the Van Vlecks, Joe Boutin, Kate O'Klein, and Gordon sprayed until they turned themselves red. Andy Nicholson, Paul Schreiber and Nancy, the Woods and the Phelps, and more volunteers worked on trim. It was a lot of

work, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some people (so sorry!)...we all had a great day in anticipation of Community Playground Build day.
